Brendan Joseph Hyland Clontarf, Dublin / Wicklow

Hyland, (6th October 2021) (Clontarf & formerly Rathdrum, Arklow) Brendan Joseph (former Principal of Rathdrum BNS, and former Director of WTG), slipped away peacefully following a battle with cancer, fought with determination and good humour, in the gentle care of the staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin. Devoted husband and soulmate of Miriam (Tighe), beloved brother of Michael & Maria, brother in law of Marie and uncle of Siobhan. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Lena and his nephew Brian. Very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, relatives, in-laws, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday the 8th October from 4.30 – 6.30pm for relatives, close friends and neighbours. In order to protect our most vulnerable guests, Covid precautions will apply. Funeral Mass (limited to 50 people) on Saturday the 9th October for family, relatives and friends in St. Kevin’s Church, Glendalough at 11.30am, burial afterwards in Glendalough Cemetery.

As there is limited capacity in the Church due to Covid regulations, the service will be available at the following link: EastCoastVideo , with indoor viewing on screen at the Brockagh Resource Centre, adjacent to the Church for an additional 50 people.
