Carnew notes week November 1st

Carnew Musical Society – ‘All Together Now!  –   Not to be missed

Tickets are now available for Carnew Musical Society’s All Together Now! Concert.

The concert will take place live in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Friday 12th November at 8pm and for those who might not be ready to venture for a night out for a live show, the show/concert will be streamed online on Sunday 14th November 8pm.

Tickets are available from all of the committee and cast members or in Hall’s Shop, Main Street, Carnew.  You can book the live concert and purchasing a link for the stream by logging on to Eventbrite.

Tickets for both the live concert and the streamed concert will be €10.  Carnew MS are so looking forward to doing a live performance.

The performers have been working hard under the musical direction of Jennifer Byrne since early September to put together this Concert and have enjoyed every minute of rehearsing the beautiful line up of musical hits they are ready to perform on stage.

The excitement among the group is palpable at performing on stage again. 

About All Together now….The rights for the All Together Now! Concert are provided by Music Theatre International who cite the event as ‘A global event celebrating local theatre’, providing an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows. Carnew MS will perform songs including Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious; When I Grow Up; Gimme, Gimme; Good Riddance (Time of Your Life); Wouldn’t it Be Loverly; and Seasons of Love.

GAA LOTTO 

Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 11.12.27.31. Lucky dips were James Doran and Paula Myler, the next draw is 8th November and the jackpot is €9,300. Tickets can be bought on line or in any of the local shops.

BINGO 

The next drive in bingo is on Sunday 21st November at 2pm in Carnew Mart, all welcome.

HEALTH ACTION COURSE
Askamore community council with the support of the IFA Farm Family committee are hosting a health action course over 4 Tuesdays in November – 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd. 

It will feature a first aid revision course with talks from a GP, Psychotherapist, Physiotherapist, a Dietician and Fitness Instructor about Health, wellness, benefits from nature & finding the perfect work-life balance. 

Booking is essential for this popular course.
