Carnew Musical Society back on Stage

Carnew Musical Society are delighted and excited to be back together rehearsing for our Allo Together Now! Concert. The concert will take place live in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Friday 12th November at 8pm and for those who might not be ready to venture for a night out for a live show, the show/concert will be streamed online on  Sunday 14th November 8pm. Keep an eye here and on the Carnew Musical Society Facebook page for details on tickets for the live concert and purchasing a link for the stream.

Tickets for both the live concert and the streamed concert will be €10.  Carnew MS are so looking forward to doing a live performance.

Carnew MS met the challenges of the return to rehearsals head on when they commenced at the beginning of September. Getting back together initially took a lot of organising by the committee, but bv September both Jennifer Byrne who has taken on the role of Musical Director and the chorus (initially split into four groups depending on vocal range) were excited to return to rehearsals. For the first few weeks took place in the carpark of the Carnew Training and Consultancy offices. Outdoor rehearsals were very enjoyable, even having to compete with a murder of crows for volume!. The change in restrictions on September 20th were welcome, allowing performers to go indoors, out of the darkness, into St. Brigid’s Hall for rehearsals.

About All Toghether now….The rights for the All Together Now! Concert are provided by Music Theatre International who cite the event as ‘A global event celebrating local theatre’, providing an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows. Carnew MS will perform songs including Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious; When I Grow Up; Gimme, Gimme; Good Riddance (Time of Your Life); and Seasons of Love.

MTI’s All Together Now! – A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre is an opportunity for schools and theatres around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows.
