Avoca Tidy Towns

Avoca Tidy Towns are happy to have increased their points by 4 in the national Tidy Towns Competition with a very positive report on our No Litter Policy encouraging people to take their litter home & recycle it, the judges were very impressed by the Community Spirit of the Community the Tidy Towns, GAA, Avoca Camogie, Scouts & Avoca senior citizens committee who volunteered ensuring our elderly & vulnerable were supported with a hot meal every day during the initial lockdown. Thanks to our CE workers who worked throughout the summer, litter picking, grass cutting etc. Thanks to the volunteers who keep Avoca Tidy & work quietly picking Litter on the approach roads every weekend etc. We have some great plans for 2022.
