Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of George Doyle, Coolroe who died recently and was buried on Wednesday in Coolfancy cemetery.

The seller’s prize was Nadia Zambrucka who won €10 for Victors and Kathleen Molloy won the lucky dip.

Carnew Musical Society – Altogether now
Carnew Musical Society will present All Together Now! in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Friday 12th November at 8pm and for those who might not be ready to venture for a night out for a live show, the show/concert will be streamed online on Sunday 14th November at 8pm.
To attend the live performance, you can purchase tickets from any of the committee and cast of Carnew Musical Society or in Halls Shop, Main Street Carnew.
You can also purchase Tickets for Friday’s live concert and for Sunday’s streamed concert by logging on to Eventbrite.
Tickets for live or streamed streamed concert are €10.
There is a palpable excitement among the group about performing on stage to an audience for the first time in two years and what a fabulous line up is in store.
The group will be performing musical hits from West End and Broadway shows that Musical Society’s would not normally be able to obtrain the rights for under the musical direction of Jennifer Byrne.
About All Together now….The rights for the All Together Now! Concert are provided by Music Theatre International who cite the event as ‘A global event celebrating local theatre’, providing an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows. Carnew MS will perform songs including Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious; When I Grow Up;(Matilda) , Gimme, Gimme; Good Riddance (Time of Your Life); and Seasons of Love.
The concert will feature Carnew Musical Society regulars including John Young, Erin Hogan, Thérese Canavan Bolger, Ellie Willoughby, Pádraig D’arcy, Richard O’Toole, Mandie O’Keeffe, and our experienced chorus. Debbie Furlong has the challenge of doing Front of House, while Fergus Garrett is Stage Manager and Kevin McEvoy has set up the lights for the show.
BINGO
The next bingo in St Bridget’s Hall Carnew is on Sunday 14th & 28th November at 2.30pm, all support would be greatly appreciated as all proceeds go towards to up keep of the hall.
A monster raffle will be held on the bingo on 12th December with the prizes as follows 1st a hamper, 2nd fuel voucher by Gardiner grain,3rd €50 Kerry foods voucher, 4th €50 voucher by McGirrs chemist, 5th €50 Kerry foods voucher, 6th €50 voucher Glen Fuels voucher, 7th €30 Poole’s voucher, 8th bottle of whiskey by McCrea’s, 9th sweets and biscuits, 10th Cainsters set by Correll’s.
Tickets only €2 a line and can be bought in any of the local shops.

Carnew Emmet’s GAA club are holding their AGM on Friday 19th November in the club house at 8pm all welcome to attend.
