Hours will be from 9.30 am to 1.45 pm.

N11/M11 Scheme Selection Report Now Available

The option selection report for the latest phase of the improvement scheme is now available.

The improvement scheme will include the N11/M11 from Junction 4 to Junction 14.

This latest report is the 11th bulletin.

ALONE COVID-19 Support Line for Older People

ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people.

Older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties due to COVID-19.

Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance.

The support line is open seven days a week,  8 am to 8 pm,  0818 222024.

Community Monuments Fund 2022

Applications are now being accepted.

This fund supports local monuments and archaeological sites.

Local authorities,  private owners,  community groups and monument custodians can apply.

There are three funding streams.

Applications are available from www.wicklow.ie/latestnews.

Closing date is 15 February 2022 at 5 pm.

Wicklow Garda Youth Awards

Nominations now being accepted for deserving young people from around the county.

Awards will be considered for young people who make their communities a better place to live.

Group awards for two or more young people who have contributed positively to their community.

Special Achievement Awards will be for those who have overcome great difficulties.

A Community Safety Award will be presented for making their community a safer place.

Anyone,  including a family member,  can nominated someone for an award.

To be considered eligible,  the young person must be:

  • Aged between 13 and 21.
  • Permanently living in Co. Wicklow.

Community Activities Fund Now Open For Applications

Special fund of €282,686 to support community groups impacted by COVID-19 now open.

This fund is for small scale capital projects.

These projects should comply with the objectives of WCC Local Economic and Community Plan.

There are two parts to the funding scheme:  over €1,000 and under €1,000.

Changes to Events at Whale Theatre Greystones

Due to COVID-19 government policies,  there are changes to Whale Theatre schedules.

These have been difficult decisions for the theatre to take.

Three events,  listed below,  have been postponed until further notice.

Ticket holders have been advised and will be notified of new dates.

Refunds are available if needed,  please contact the theatre.

Two events,  listed below,  will go ahead with new times and new COVID-19 guidelines.
