Bray Air Display 2022 still up in the air

No decision has yet been taken on whether this year’s Bray Air Display will go ahead, WicklowNews.Net understands.

The show, which draws thousands of people to Bray each summer, has not been held since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on gatherings.

While Bray Air Display posted “see you in 2022” last summer to their social platforms, it’s understood the show’s committee will meet in the coming weeks where a decision will be made on this year’s display.

In 2019 the display drew a crowd of 120,000 people over two days, with other attractions such as a funfair, food and craft market and leisure helicopter flights included in the show’s offering on the seafront.

The display itself sees a variety of aircraft such as commercial, private, vintage and rescue perform low-flying passes at the coastline.
