Congratulations to Marie Hughes who is this week’s winner of €374 in our Parents’ Association weekly Split the Pot Draw. Well done to  Odhran Butler, 2nd year who won the sellers prize of €20. Remember, if you are not in –  you can’t win!

You can pick up envelopes for Split-the-Pot in a few places in addition to the school – including Shillelagh post office and Aughrim post office. Please let us know if your local shop would like to keep a stock? Don’t forget to get your envelopes for this Friday’s draw back to the school by 2pm on Thursday! Thank you for your support.

Split the Pot – Ballyellis National School
Winner of  “Split the Pot” on Friday 11th  February 2022 was Ashling Walsh, Donishall    –  winning €165.  “Split the Pot” envelopes can be had from any parent in the school or by calling into the school.  Many thanks to everyone for your support. 

Enrolment Form for Ballyellis National School

Enrolment form for Parents wishing to enrol their child in Ballyellis School in September 2022 are now available.  Please contact the office on 053 9426159 or email the school at ballyellisns@gmail.com if you wish to have an enrolment form sent out or call into the school to collect a form.

Kilrush Drama Group

Class – Kilrush Drama Group will present the amateur premiere of Class by Iseult Golden and David Horan as their 2022 festival production. The play will be performed in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th February, and also on Thursday 3rd and

Friday 4th March at 8pm.  Director, Pat Whelan and actors, Michael Dunbar, Catherine Stafford and James Whelan have been busy working onClass for a number of months now and following their Carnew performances will go on to take part in the Open Section of Festivals around the Country.

Little Gem  In addition, for the first time ever Kilrush Drama Group will have two plays taking part on the Festival Circuit, with Mick Byrne directing Little Gem, a comedy by Elaine Murphy and starring Mary Earle, Margaret Nolan and Caitlin Clauson. This will be staged in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Sunday the 27th of February (for one night only), and will then be travelling the country on the Festival Circuit, partaking in the Confined section of the All Ireland Drama.

FINCHES FITNESS 
Finches fitness takes place in Askamore Community Centre on Wednesday mornings Pilates at 9am, fitness 10am, fit for anything 11.15am, Wednesday evening fitness at 7.30pm.
Colm ONeill fitness gym opening hours Monday-Friday 6.30am-10pm, Saturday 10am -4pm. Teen fitness every Tuesday &Thursday at 4pm & 4.45pm ages 12-15.


POSTAGE STAMPS 
Old postage stamps are collected for St Patrick’s mission’s Kiltegan, leave a piece of paper around the stamp and can be left into the front porche of Askamore church.

RECYCLING 

The recycling centre is open every Saturday morning at Colaiste Bhride Carnew from 10am -11.30am where you can recycle cardboard, newspapers, bottles, milk cans, tins, small electrical items. Thanks to all who available of this service.

LITTLE ACORNS PLAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION NIGHT 

Little Acorns play school registration night for this coming school year August 2022 start, will take place on Monday 21st February at 6.30pm in The Little Acorn’s, please bring the child’s PPSN and your own pen. A mask must be worn and sanitize hands on arrival, thank you.
