Scor na Nog is back on 11th March in Blessington Categories are Solo singing, Recitations, Instrumental music, question time, you must be under 17 on 1st January, contact the club if interested in taking part.
Poetry Evening
Art Bank are very excited about the upcoming Poetry Evening on Friday March the 11th
This will be a gathering of well-known poets will be reading their work including
Phelim Kavanagh, Farmer, poet; Stephen James Smith Musical Artist, Ben Mac Caoilte, Actor / poet form Kilkenny, Rónán Byrne, Actor, Bunclody, Jennifer Byrne Bunclody community choir director, singing her own song; Niall Toner, Musician and Dr Derek Coyle Poet and lecturer in Carlow College. Also participating are as some budding young novice poets. Although this particular event is booked out, it promises to be an entertaining and inspirational evening and a hope of things to come.

Carnew St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022
For the community, by the community
Excitement is building for the return of the Carnew St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Thursday 17thMarch at the earlier time of 12.30pm. Entry forms are now available from Carnew TDC and Candy’s. New for 2022 we have a €200 cash prize for the ‘Judge’s Choice’ which is a community spirit award for a non-profit organisation.
The parade is a community event and we would like to invite community members to participate in helping out. Anyone interested in joining the committee, or available to help with barriers or stewarding on the day is asked to contact us on Facebook or call Carnew TDC on 053-9426555.
