The senior Camogie team had a fantastic win over Mount Sackville in the All Ireland semi final last week. The girls excelled in all positions and won on a score line of 6-10 to 2-9. This means another All Ireland final for this bunch of girls!

Kilrush Drama Group
Class – Kilrush Drama Group will present the amateur premiere of Class by Iseult Golden and David Horan as their 2022 festival production. The play will be performed in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th February, and also on Thursday 3rd and
Friday 4th March at 8pm. Director, Pat Whelan and actors, Michael Dunbar, Catherine Stafford and James Whelan have been busy working onClass for a number of months now and following their Carnew performances will go on to take part in the Open Section of Festivals around the Country.
Little Gem In addition, for the first time ever Kilrush Drama Group will have two plays taking part on the Festival Circuit, with Mick Byrne directing Little Gem, a comedy by Elaine Murphy and starring Mary Earle, Margaret Nolan and Caitlin Clauson. This will be staged in St. Brigid’s Hall, Carnew on Sunday the 27th of February (for one night only), and will then be travelling the country on the Festival Circuit, partaking in the Confined section of the All Ireland Drama.
BEE KEEPING COURSE
A free bee keeping course for beginners will start in February for 6 weeks, one evening a week, learn how to start up growing your hives and harvest honey, places are limited and will take place in Askamore Community Centre. if interested book your place as places are limited.

Finches fitness takes place in Askamore Community Centre on Wednesday mornings Pilates at 9am, fitness 10am, fit for anything 11.15am, Wednesday evening fitness at 7.30pm.
Colm ONeill fitness gym opening hours Monday-Friday 6.30am-10pm, Saturday 10am -4pm. Teen fitness every Tuesday &Thursday at 4pm & 4.45pm ages 12-15.

Old postage stamps are collected for St Patrick’s mission’s Kiltegan, leave a piece of paper around the stamp and can be left into the front porche of Askamore church.

The recycling centre is open every Saturday morning at Colaiste Bhride Carnew from 10am -11.30am where you can recycle cardboard, newspapers, bottles, milk cans, tins, small electrical items. Thanks to all who available of this service.
