Wicklow Fine Gael Minister Simon Harris TD has welcomed the allocation of €13,335,800 to County Wicklow in the 2022 investment programme for regional and local roads.
Minister Harris said:
“I welcome the allocation of over €13 million in investment by the Department of Transport in Wicklow Roads. The funds announced Tuesday will fund the maintenance and renewal of Wicklow’s existing regional and local road network.
The funds will support a range of schemes from safety works on junctions and bridges to climate change adaption measures”.
This year’s local and regional road grant allocation has been increased by 4% nationally and now includes a climate change adaptation grant for works on roads at risk due to the impact of climate change and severe weather events.
