Wicklow Age Friendly Survey Extended Into February
If you missed completing the survey before Christmas, you now have another chance !!
Wicklow County Council wants to hear the views of older people living in the county.
The information provided will help to identify and ensure that proper services are developed.
People are now living longer than ever and a strong focus for older people is necessary.
Areas of interest could include outdoor spaces, transport, housing, social participation.
Community support and health services.
This is an easy survey to complete and won’t take long.

Road will be closed form 23 February 2022 to 23 March 2022.
8 am to 5 pm inclusive.
Local access traffic only.
Road will be opened during the night using a traffic light system.
Road closure is to facilitate the construction of a footpath, public lighting installation.
And widening of the road.
Wicklow County Council|Estate Development Funding Scheme 2022
Applications are invited from WCC Social Housing Estates.
Funding relates to the upkeep of green areas within the estates.
Private housing estates, with a number of Local Authority properties may also apply.

The Greystones Guide | Estate Development Grants Now Open
Free Talking Therapy Sessions for Those Impacted by Pandemic
Up to 16,500 counselling and psychotherapy sessions will be provided.
These sessions are for those impacted by the pandemic.
Reasons could be bereavement, isolation, depression, anxiety, working on the front line.
Or those with economic effects, especially those in the arts, entertainment or hospitality.
Sessions are being provided through a €1 million dedicated fund.
This is an initiative that began in 2020 with the Sláintecare Integration Fund.

Wicklow Garda Youth Awards
Special reminder !!
Nominations now being accepted for deserving young people from around the county.
Awards will be considered for young people who make their communities a better place to live.
Group awards for two or more young people who have contributed positively to their community.
Special Achievement Awards will be for those who have overcome great difficulties.
A Community Safety Award will be presented for making their community a safer place.
Anyone, including a family member, can nominated someone for an award.
To be considered eligible, the young person must be:
- Aged between 13 and 21.
- Permanently living in Co. Wicklow.
