Women’s Networking Event for International Women’s Day 2022

Local Enterprise Week 2022

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 8 March 2022.

Wicklow Local Enterprise Office will hold an in-person networking event on 9 March 2022.

This superb event will be held in the Glenview Hotel from 7 pm.

Our very own Alison Banton from Brooke and Shoals will talk about her business success to date.

The event is free of charge,  with no need to register.

It is open to female entrepreneurs with a business based in Wicklow.

  • Arrive from 7 pm for tea and coffee.

Codling Wind Park Information Clinic

Codling Wind Park Information Clinics are held Second Wednesday of each month.

The purpose of the clinics is to provide the public with opportunity to meet face-to-face.

Project representatives can discuss any questions and give updates on progress.

Additionally,  “Pop Up” clinics will be held on the first Wednesday of each month.

These are open to community,  voluntary,  sporting,  business and other local groups.

Location will be agreed on an individual request basis.

March clinic will be held on Wednesday,  9 March 2022.

Room 3,  Unit 3,  Burnaby Buildings,  over Joker’s,  Church Road.

10 am to 12 pm.

Wickow Arts Office Funding Schemes 2022 Now Open

Applications for Artist Award Scheme and Artists and Communities Collaboration Award Scheme.

Arts Festival Awards Scheme will follow.

The main aim of these schemes is to empower artists and communities to move forward.

Online advice clinic to help with applications will take place on 23 February.

Places can be booked free of charge on Eventbrite.

All art forms,  discipline and genre are eligible to apply.

Maximum award offered is €5,000,  although awards are offered for smaller amounts.

Incident took place on 14 February 2022,  between 12 pm and 12.45 pm.

Greystones Active Retirement Association (GARA)

Wonderful group for the over 50s in the Greystones and surrounding areas.

Lots going on,  there is something for everyone at GARA !!

Regular GARA activities are now in sessions.

Ongoing activities include:

  • Art                         Mondays         2.30 pm to  4.30 pm.
  • Short Mat Bowling     Tuesdays       10.45 am to 12.45 pm.
  • Bingo                     Thursdays        2.30 pm to  4.30 pm.

Card Making Workshops Now Starting !!

Card making workshops will take place on Friday mornings,  10 am to 11.30 am.

Kilian House Family Centre beside Holy Rosary Church.

Here are the dates for your Calendars:

          1, 8 and 22 April

          6, 13 and 20 May

This will be an interesting and fun activity.

Create cards for special occasions for your loved ones.

They are sure to be impressed !!

Coffee Morning will be held on 25 March 2022 and on each last Friday of the month.
