Met Éireann updates weather warning

Met Éireann has updated their weather warning as Storm Dudley tracks across Ireland.

The forecaster’s status yellow wind warning came into effect at noon today, but will now expire at 11:30pm this evening.

However, westerly winds associated with the storm will reach mean speeds of 50 – 65km/h with damaging gusts of 80 – 110km/h.

These guests will be stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground.

Met Éireann says a combination of high tide, strong winds and occasional heavy rain will lead to a possibility of flooding on Atlantic coasts.
