Suicide or Survive to host webinar for International Women’s Day

National charity Suicide or Survive has announced a webinar which will celebrate International Women’s Day.

The webinar, which will be streamed live, will take place on 9 March and feature three female guest speakers, focusing on mental health and wellness.

The current and 10th female Lord Mayor of Dublin and Councillor Alison Gilliland will attend the event, alongside Alana Ryan, who leads the National Womens Council health policy and advocacy work.

Fashion activist Taryn de Vere will complete the lineup.

Suicide or Survive says the webinar is free of charge thanks to funding from the National Office for Suicide Prevention.

“The theme for this International Women’s Day is Break the Bias,” says the charity. “Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.”

“A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality.”
