The Rathdrum St Patrick’s Day Committee are delighted to announce the Grand Marshall for this year’s St,Patrick’s day parade is local man Tony Battle.
Tony was originally named as the Grand Marshall for the 2020 parde which was cancelled due to the pandemic.
The Mayo man is somewhat of a national celebrity following his coverage every September with his views on the All-Ireland football final.
Tony said ” He was both honored and excited to be leading the parade, it has been a long time coming and I’m really looking forward to it.”
A meeting will take place in the RDA hall tonight at 7.30pm to make final arrangements for the forthcoming parde.
