The Whale Theatre has announced three new shows arriving this month, with comedian Des Bishop included in the lineup.
The 46-year-old brings his show ‘Mamma Mia’ to the theatre, which is about motherhood, sacrifice, anxiety and grief.
Mr Bishop’s mother passed away in 2019 and the show, which will take place on 25 February, is dedicated to her.
“Since death comes to us all and grief is something most of us will experience I thought there must be plenty of people who would like that funny to be shared,” Des said.
Meanwhile, David O’Doherty’s ‘whoa Is Me’, which has featured on BBC’s ‘Live at The Apollo’ and Channel 4’s ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’, will play on 18 February.
Featuring The Bolshoi Principals, Soloists and Corps de Ballet, a recorded screening of Bolshoi Ballet – Jewels is coming this Sunday to the Whale.
Tickets and pricing for all shows can be found on the Whale Theatre’s website.
