Last week Bernadette Danaher from Birmingham, UK posted a picture to the Bray Forum Facebook page of the Wicklow mountains, what was unusual about the picture is it was taken from the South Stack in Anglesey in North Wales.
Speaking to Wicklownews Bernadette said “I come up to Anglesey regularly to visit my brother Bob who lives in Holyhead.

When I visit I always go up to the South Stack to see if I can see the Wicklow mountains, My Mother came from Bray so I feel it is a connection, I have been very lucky over the years to see the mountains.
Bob goes around the coast on a pushbike every day and he says that it’s very rare to see the mountains, so it’s not just that I catch glimpses on my visits and they’re there the rest of the time!”

On clear days the Welsh mountains and Snowdonia can be seen from many locations in County Wicklow, below is an image of the Welsh mountains taken from Barnisky close to Red Cross .
