The Government will ensure those receiving benefit payments won’t have their supports affected if they house Ukrainian refugees.
The Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys will sign regulations that will protect recipients of such payments, RTÉ News reports.
It comes following concerns from elderly people that their Living Alone Allowance would be impacted if they housed Ukrainians fleeing the war.
Meanwhile, a Co Wicklow GP has appealed for medical equipment, including specialist equipment for those with disabilities to be donated.
