Staff and board of management members from Scoil Mhuire na n-Áird, Shillelagh, recently met to celebrate the success of their colleague, Ms. Ginny Whiston.
Ginny recently graduated from the National Training Programme for Special Needs Assistants at UCD.
This is a brand new programme being delivered by UCD, and Ginny was one of the first group of students to complete and graduate from the course.
“The course was excellent. Challenging, but excellent”, reports Ginny. “I have learned so many practical strategies which will be of use to me and to the pupils I provide support for”.
School principal, Rory Healy, reports how very proud he is of Ginny and of her achievements. “Ginny is an inspiration to all of us. She is wholly and continuously committed to improving her practice through readings, conversations, and further studies”.
