Dermot Bannon visits Wicklow for latest RTÉ Room to Improve episode

TV Architect Dermot Bannon is in Blessington, Co Wicklow tonight for the latest episode of RTÉ’s Room to Improve.

Bannon will meet Hilary and Paul Fairbrother who are moving back to Hilary’s family home in the Garden County after the couple purchased the property from her parents.

However, the house, which was built in the early 70s, is in massive need of renovation – and that’s where Dermot and his team come in.

As viewers will see on tonight’s programme, the project will see two houses being built on the 4.5 acre site, which overlooks the Blessington Lakes.

Before appearing on Room to Improve, the Fairbrothers were living in a 2-bed apartment in Castleknock with their two children Finn and Evie.

Teasing tonight’s episode, RTÉ said: “There will be some testing times trying to stay within budget but Clare Irwin is there to watch every move and make sure Dermot doesn’t go wild.”

Room to Improve airs tonight, after the news, at 9:30pm on RTÉ One.
