MET Eireann have forecast a very cold night tonight with temperatures expected to be a low as -3 in some areas and the chance of snow on high grounds.
One could be forgiven for thinking spring had arrived over the last week with temperatures in the mid teens most days, so don’t forget to either cover or bring in your plants and bring pets inside.
Forecast
Tonight will be cold and frosty with long clear spells. There will be a few wintry showers about, mainly affecting coastal areas. Lowest temperatures of -3 to zero degrees in moderate, northeast winds.
Tomorrow
A cold, bright and frosty start to tomorrow, Thursday. There will be good spells of spring sunshine during the day but it will feel cold in the moderate to fresh northeast wind. Some scattered showers of rain, hail and sleet are expected, with the possibility of some snow on high ground. Highest afternoon temperatures of just 6 to 9 degrees.
