The 11th Public Access Defibrillator (P.A.D.) has been installed in Arklow as the Community First Responders celebrate their 11th annniversary.
The newly installed defibrillator is located at the train station on St Mary’s Road, which can be located with the exact Eircode Y14 YD89.
Irish Rail are providing the power for the heated cabinet which contains the defibrillator.
Speaking about the new defibrillator, Arklow Community First Responders said: “We feel its placement is an ideal location as the station has a turnover of approximately 1,100 people per week going through it.”
They added: “These life saving devices are only in situ through the ongoing support and generosity of our local community.
“Thank you for your tremendous and overwhelming support to our voluntary group over the last 11 years.”
