Help for Ukraine

There has been a great response from the Greystones area for Ukraine help.

Donations are still needed. 

Colette Talbot and Nicole Brown will be travelling to Ukraine on St. Patrick’s Day.

Colette may be contacted on her Facebook page for latest list of what is needed.

Most needed:  baby food,  medical supplies,  energy bars,  protein bars.

Pot noodles,  anything that can be used with water to feed people.

They have contacts in Poland,  so help will go directly to those who need it.

Donations may also be made with the Irish Red Cross and UNICEF.

Census|Sunday, 3 April 2022

A census takes place in Ireland every five years.

Information is gathered by the Central Statistics Office.

This information is used to help the Government plan for public services provided by the State.

The delivery of census forms has begun.

Completed forms will be collected by the enumerators from 4 April to 6 May 2022.

Card Making Workshops Now Ongoing  !!

Card making workshops will take place on Friday mornings,  10 am to 11.30 am.

Kilian House Family Centre beside Holy Rosary Church.

Here are the card making dates for your Calendars:

          6, 13 and 20 May

Card making is an interesting and fun activity.

Create cards for special occasions for your loved ones.

They are sure to be impressed !!

Cost is €4 per session.

GARA and Greystones Cancer Support Daffodil Day Coffee Morning

Daffodil Day items will be on sale.

Funds raised will go to the Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day Fund.

This fund supports the many services,  including the Night Nursing Service.

Irish Gerontological Society Public Lecture|24 March 2022| 3 pm to 4.30 pm.

This is the first IGS public lecture of 2022.

Professor Rose Ann Kenny is the President of the Irish Gerontological Society.

She will share insights from her research into the area of ageing medicine.

Professor Kenny has a many years and a wealth of experience to share with us.

She is the author of the best selling book,  Age Proof.

Age Proof explores why some people have a lower biological age than chronological age.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit questions prior to the lecture.
