Help for Ukraine

There has been a great response from the Greystones area for Ukraine help.

Donations may be left at Shoreline Sports Park in Greystones.

Colette Talbot from Kilcoole will be travelling to Ukraine to offer assistance.

She may be contacted on her Facebook page.

Donations may also be made with the Irish Red Cross and UNICEF.

Women’s Networking Event for International Women’s Day 2022

Local Enterprise Week 2022

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 8 March 2022.

Wicklow Local Enterprise Office will hold an in-person networking event on 9 March 2022.

This superb event will be held in the Glenview Hotel from 7 pm.

Our very own Alison Banton from Brooke and Shoals will talk about her business success to date.

The event is free of charge,  with no need to register.

It is open to female entrepreneurs with a business based in Wicklow.

Codling Wind Park Information Clinic

Codling Wind Park Information Clinics are held Second Wednesday of each month.

The purpose of the clinics is to provide the public with opportunity to meet face-to-face.

Project representatives can discuss any questions and give updates on progress.

Additionally,  “Pop Up” clinics will be held on the first Wednesday of each month.

These are open to community,  voluntary,  sporting,  business and other local groups.

Location will be agreed on an individual request basis.

March clinic will be held on Wednesday,  9 March 2022.

Room 3,  Unit 3,  Burnaby Buildings,  over Joker’s,  Church Road.

10 am to 12 pm.

  • 37% of all thefts from vehicles are at Residential locations.
  • Driveways are a common location for these thefts.
  • Over 50% of these thefts occur overnight:  Midnight to 7 am.
  • 63% of all thefts from vehicles are at Non-Residential locations.
  • Of these,  50% of vehicles were parked on the street.
  • 37% were parked in car parks.
  • Most Non-Residential thefts from vehicles occur during business hours.

Tips to Prevent Theft

  • When you park your car or van,  take your property with you.
  • 38% of all vehicles broken into were left unlocked.
  • Ensure your car is locked,  alarmed and parked in a safe
  • Store your keys safely,  away from windows and letterboxes.

Wonderful group for the over 50s in the Greystones and surrounding areas.

Card Making Workshops Now Starting !!

Card making workshops will take place on Friday mornings,  10 am to 11.30 am.

Kilian House Family Centre beside Holy Rosary Church.

This will be an interesting and fun activity.
