Male-only ‘Dip in the Nip’ for Wicklow Hospice in April

Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is calling on the men of Wicklow to bare all and take part in its third male-only Dip in the Nip, at 10am on Sunday, 3rd April at North Beach, Brittas Bay.

Joining the brave men on the day will be Wicklow Hospice ambassador, former Irish rugby player Shane Byrne. He said: “We’re asking those taking part to raise €100 for Wicklow Hospice through sponsorship from friends, family, clubs, workplaces or online. And we’re asking the women of Wicklow to help out by sponsoring their friends and family and encouraging the men in their lives to sign up.”

Eleanor Flew, Director of Fundraising and Communications with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services said: “We’ve moved Dip in the Nip to April to make it more of a challenge to take to the chilly Irish sea. There will be music and refreshments to keep the spirits high though the temperature may be low!

“We know there is great support from the community for the work of Wicklow Hospice and we’re calling on everyone in the county to get behind this fun project.  Your sponsorship will support essential services, provide specialised medical equipment and improve facilities for patients and their families.”
