Mountain Rescue assist male after fall from mountain bike

On Sunday afternoon the Dublin / Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue were tasked by the National Ambulance Service to assist in the extraction of a 25 year old male who came off his mountain bike close to Glencullen.

Having received pain relief medication from a NAS Advanced Paramedic, Mountain Rescue Personnel moved the patient into a stretcher and then made the short carry back along the track to the National Ambulance Service and crew for the hand over.

Team was stood down at 16:42hrs.

Duration of incident: 1 hour, 25 minutes.

It was the 20th callout of 2022.
