The online booking portal has now opened for children aged 12 years and over to receive a Covid-19 booster vaccine.
The HSE has said booster vaccinations for 12 to 15 year olds will begin to be administered from Saturday with a walk-in service also being offered as well as appointments.
“We are encouraging everyone eligible to avail of the booster dose when it’s offered,” said the HSE.
Vaccinations for Co Wicklow are being administered at Shoreline Leisure Centre, Mill Road, Greystones.

Who will be getting vaccine?
To get your COVID-19 booster dose, you MUST be aged 12 years or older. 12 to 15 year olds must attend for their booster dose with a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian will need to give consent for their child’s vaccination. If you are unable to attend the vaccine appointment to give consent, you can contact HSElive to discuss options.
How long to wait before getting a booster COVID-19 vaccine?
After your last dose of COVID-19 vaccination, you need to wait
· 6 months (at least 182 days) if you are aged 12 to 15 years
· 3 months (at least 90 days) if you are aged 12 to 15 years and Immunocompromised
It is IMPORTANT to remember you will NOT get your booster dose of vaccine if the minimum interval has not passed on the day of your appointment.
