This evening and tonight
Wet and windy today with some heavy falls of rain leading to localised flooding, particularly in the south and southeast of Leinster. There will be some falls of sleet at times in the south, with snow possible on higher ground. Strong and gusty southerly winds will ease through the afternoon with drier and brighter weather extending from the west. However, patchy rain will persist in the east into the evening. Feeling cool with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
Any frost, ice and fog will clear tomorrow morning, leaving a largely dry and bright day with sunny spells developing. Turning breezier through the day as light to moderate southerly winds increase fresh in the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.
