County Wicklow has ranked ninth as the best place to be a driver in Ireland, according to figures released from a new study.
Irish motor insurance company Chill who published the study, analysed data from a list of criteria to determine which county is the best and safest to drive in.
The criteria assessed was the number of reported collisions annually, the level of car theft, the average driving test pass rate and the average inches of rainfall a county had.
The Garden County ranked ninth overall, with 164 collisions recorded and a 50.90% car theory test pass rate, according to figures from Chill Insurance.
Overall Co Wicklow’s score was 53.8% – the exact same result as neighbouring Co Wexford which had 232 reported collisions and ranked in tenth place.
Longford takes the crown as the best county in Ireland for drivers thanks to the lowest level of car theft and the lowest average rainfall.
