Easter Ceremonies

Times for Easter Ceremonies in Annacurra Parish Church are as follows.

Wednesday April 13  Penance Service and Confessions at 7-30  pm

Holy Thursday  April 14 – Evening Mass of The Lord’s Supper  at 7-30

Good Friday  April 15 – Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion  at 3-00pm

Holy Saturday  April 16- Easter Vigil at 9pm

Easter Sunday  April 17-  Masses at 9am and 11 am

Masses on Saturday Night and Easter Sunday are offered for the intentions 

of all Parishioners and for deceased members of the Parish.

Mass during Easter Week- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am

No Mass on Saturday evening, April 23. Mass on Sunday at 9-00am and 11 am

Annacurra Gaa

We will have a table quiz this Sunday evening in the Saltee at 8pm. Entry is 4 per table and €10 per person. The quiz is kindly sponsored by R Hendy and Co Accountants. 

Lotto results Monday 4th April. Numbers were : 13 – 17 – 18 – 25. No Jackpot Winner. No Match 3’s. Next weeks jackpot €5,700.

Last weeks Results – Minor Football PPL Group 3 Round 1, Annacurra 2-10 Tomnafinnogue 6-12. U15 B Football League Round 1, Michael Dwyers 5-4 Annacurra 0-3. SFL Div 2, Round 4, An Tochar 2-7 Annacurra 0-12.

This weeks fixture is: SFL Division 2 v Valleymount in Annacurra on Friday night at 7:45. For more up to date fixtures, please keep an eye on our social media as fixtures are liable to change. Academy training for the younger kids continues on Wednesday nights and Thursdays for our LGFA under 12 team.

On the county scene, congratulations to Cillian Duffy, Stuart Davey, Adam Lifely, George Doyle and Rhyan Moules who were all involved with the Wicklow under 15 teams who played Galway and Meath over the weekend.

Congratulations to Sammy Harper, Micheal Kavanagh, Oliver Doyle, Luke Nolan, Eoin O’Connor and Paddy Horan who are on the under 16 panel who defeated Waterford at the weekend in the Fr. Manning Cup.

Commiserations to Martin O’Brien and Robert Fitzgerald who were defeated in the Christy Ring by Derry at the weekend. Martin is captain which is a huge honour for him and our club. They play Mayo in Aughrim this Saturday in the next round. Eoghan Murphy and Charlie Graham are with the minor footballers who welcome Carlow to Aughrim next Wednesday 20th in the second round of the Leinster Minor Football Championship.

The club would like to extend sympathy to  Frances, Tony, Rachel & Cathal Doyle, Helen, Neil, Nadine & Cian Fitzgerald and all the Quaile family on the passing of Amby Quaile. Our sympathy is also extended to the family of Ann O’Shea who also passed away last week. May they both rest in peace.
