Annacurra Tidy Towns
We’re having a litter collection on this Thursday 7th April, thanks to all those who have been out on our roads cleaning up. The collection points are Clone Cross, Ned Doyle’s cross, Annacurra Community Centre, Nolans and Preban Church. Let’s hope we don’t beat our 95 bag record from last year!

Well done to the intermediate footballers who got their first win of the year with a four point win over Barndarrig on Friday night. Well done to all. The minor footballers gave a good performance for the opening game of their year but were defeated by AGB in the Tom Carr Cup final last week. They were due to play Tomnafinnogue on Monday evening last. For up to date, fixtures keep an eye on our social media channels. The under 13’s got their league campaign off to a winning start on Friday with at win at home over Rathnew. The final score was Annacurra 8-15 Rathnew 3-09. Well done to the team and management.
Huge congratulations to under 15 club players, Sé Killoran, Adam Lifely (Captain) and Jack Wolohan on winning the South Leinster Post Primary 2nd year football during the week with Arklow CBS.
Well done and welcome to the great turn out on Thursday night for the clubs new LGFA team. Training for this team is every Thursday at 6:30pm for any girls born from 2010 to 2012.
Well done to Charlie Graham and Eoghan Murphy who were on the Wicklow minor panel who had a great win over Wexford in the Leinster Championship on Saturday.
Commiserations to Conor Byrne and the Wicklow Under 20 hurlers who were defeated by Roscommon on Saturday.
Best of luck to Alan Nolan who is on the management team for the Under 20 county football team who play Westmeath in Baltinglass tomorrow evening in the opening round of the Leinster championship.
Fixtures this week see our under 11’s play Tinahely tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30 in Annacurra. Our under 15’s play Michael Dwyers at the same time in Ballymanus. Our intermediate team travel to Roundwood on Friday to play An Tochar at 8:15 pm.
