ASL Safety and Training (Renewables) has announced it has further expanded its offshore and marine training offering.
Following further rigorous auditing by the Global Wind Organisation, ASL has been accredited to deliver all of the advanced rescue training (ART) and also the new Global Wind Organisation Slinger Signaller Programme.
These training programmes are required for all working offshore in the wind industry, ASL said.
The 11 new training programmes are part of an ongoing investment programme in our people, plant and premises by ASL to prepare for the new opportunities that are fast becoming available off our coasts nationally.
Following receipt of the approval, Mark Corcoran, managing director at ASL said that “this accreditation will help us continue to broaden our training & education offering from our Arklow marine & offshore centre of excellence”.
He continued: “We have been involved in the supply chain for the wider wind industry for years and we have been lucky enough to have built a strong reputation with existing and more recently with several new clients, these programmes will allow us to continue to add value for our clients in the on & offshore wind sector.
“Over the last several years we have invested heavily in our people, accreditations and premises, this continuing expansion will bring us nicely into phase 2 of these plans, so watch this space!!, we are looking forward to continuing to build and broaden relationships with all stakeholders in the marine & offshore area and indeed to create some more local jobs at our premises.”
