Delgany Tidy Towns is proud to feature the relaunch of the Delgany Fairy Trail on Sunday, April 10th at Blind Lane, Priory Road in Delgany.
Originally launched during Heritage Week in 2019, the Delgany Fairy Trail is a magical woodland area where residents and visitors are welcome to visit the tiny homes and cottages of our resident fairies, and look to spread their spirit and magic. It is also often said that dogs are very good at spotting fairies, so don’t hesitate if your four legged friend gets very excited to see the cottages when you visit!
The Delgany Fairy Trail has been refreshed and has also grown, with seven new additional Fairy cottages added to the walk! One of the new residents is a Ukranian Fairy who has decorated her cottage with sunflowers and the signature blue and yellow colors of Ukraine along with a sign wishing for Peace. If you look closely, you might be able to spot a bumblebee heading for the bee door in her cottage as well!
There is an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 10th at 11am which has been sold out for that morning, but we welcome visitors and residents to attend to the Fairy Trail at any time. Details can be found on the Delgany Fairy Trail Facebook page. There is even a video of one of the new cottages being visited by a fairy on our most recent post!
Delgany Village has many opportunities to get involved in fun projects and build on our great community. Please check out the website at www.delgany.online and participate in our Public Realm Survey till the end of April! Tidy Towns also reminds residents that Village Clean Up is set for May 7th and 8th and asks you to save the Date!
