Poets of Greystones,  start working on your poems of prophesy and prediction.

Or poems questioning the idea that we can ever know what’s coming.

Look for inspiration in tea leaves or a dream.

Colette Talbot and the team have returned from Poland.

They brought all the donated items from our area directly to those who needed it.

Greystones Folk Group|Welcome Coffee Mornings for Ukrainian Friends

Welcome Coffee Mornings will be held in Kilian House Family Centre.

Starting this weekend.

The group would very much like to give the children some fun and games.

Donations may be made to any Greystones Folk Group Member.

Or they can be brought to Kilian House Family Centre,  2 April,  2 pm to 4 pm.

Suggestions for donations include new or nearly new jigsaws,  Snakes + Ladders.

Ludo,  Card Games,  Lego/Duplo,  lots of small cars,  Play Doh tubs.

Dolls,  Action Man type figures,  Cards,  Puzzle Books,  Colouring Books,

Pens and craft items such as scissors,  Prittstick and stickers.

All donated ttems are very much appreciated.

Friendship Variety Show for Ukraine

Grants are for small projects and group running costs.

Maximum grant is €500.

Attendance of the Public and Media at remote meetings.

Procedures to be observed.

  1. Members of the public and media may be present at a remote meeting of Greystones Municipal District
  1. Attendees must comply with Greystones Municipal District Standing Orders and Supplementary Standing Orders to Regulate Remote Meetings.
  1. Members of the media and public shall give prior notice of a request to join an online meeting of Greystones Municipal District.
  1. Requests must be emailed to Greystonesmd@wicklowcoco.ie no later than 12 noon on the day of the meeting.   A name and email address is required.
  1. The link to the meeting is for the recipient only and must not be forwarded on to any other person(s).
  1. Attendees must maintain silence and observe any directions given by the Cathaoirleach or by an official of the Council.  Microphones must be kept on mute at all times.
  1. Members of the public and the media do not have the right to speak, any interruptions or endeavours to interrupt will result in the remote connection being terminated.
  1. No recording of the meeting and its proceedings by any person in attendance (elected members, media or members of the public) is permitted.

Greystones Library|FREE 1 Day Computer Training Workshop

Greystones Library,  Mill Road;  8 April 2022,  11 am to 4 pm.

Lunch,  1 pm to 2 pm.

Workshop is open to all,  but booking is required,  01.2873548.

Course will cover any area of skills you wish to learn.

You can bring your own device:  smart phone,  iPad or computer.

Some library computers will be available on the day.

Greystones Library also has a 5 week course that runs once a week for two hours.

This course is also free and covers all the basics.

Course will be available over the next few months.

A census takes place in Ireland every five years.

Information is gathered by the Central Statistics Office.

This information is used to help the Government plan for public services provided by the State.

The delivery of census forms has begun.

Completed forms will be collected by the enumerators from 4 April to 6 May 2022.

Card making workshops will take place on Friday mornings,  10 am to 11.30 am.

Come along to listen or play !!

All jazz instrumentalists and singers welcome.

Great opportunity to play with other jazz musicians.

Or to just come along and watch.

Please arrive early to sign in and ensure you get a chance to play.

To take part,  you need to be able to play at least one tune.

And then improvise over it.

Jazz standards like those from the Real Book series,  iRealPro app.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular jazz session to develop and bring the jazz community together.
