Greystones singer releases single for Pieta House

A Greystones based singer-songwriter has released a new song with the aim of raising funds for the charity Pieta as part of their Darkness into Light campaign for 2022.

Luke Carrig wrote the song Darkness into Light in honour of his sibling, Anto, who he tragically lost to suicide in 2010.

The song is a heartfelt reflection on living with the loss, whilst also emphasising the universal hope brought by moving from darkness into light.

All of the money raised from the single will be donated to Pieta, the national charity
whose mission it is to support those experiencing the challenging realities of selfharm and suicide.

Luke, once a founding member of the Irish band Raglans, has been on something of a hiatus in recent years whilst completing his education and nurturing his own young family.

However, the talented musician is now back to share his passion and there are plans to release a new EP later in 2022.
