The members draw was held recently. 1st Prize €1,000 – Margaret Moran, 2nd Prize €300 – Mervin Carey, 3rd Prize €100 – Kevin Byrne.

Our under 15 team had a win snatched from their grasp by Bray and earned a draw in their game. The junior team had a great win over Aughrim and our intermediates unfortunately came out on the wrong side of a close game with Donard-Glen.

Our under 12 girls team had a great win in Blessington 2-14 to 2-4. 

Lotto results Monday 23rd May. Numbers were : 14 – 22 – 23 – 24. No Jackpot Winner. No Match 3 winner (Next weeks match 3 win or share €200). Next weeks jackpot €6,750

Congratulations to our under 13’s who had a great win against Michael Dwyers. It was their fifth win in a row and puts them at the top of the league currently. They had to dig deep but never gave up fighting and did the club very proud! Final score was 6-5 to 3-8.

The under 12 girls had a fantastic win at home to Barndarrig last Thursday. In great conditions they ran out 5-7 to 0-4 winners and a fourth win on the bounce for them.

Congratulations to the young men from the club who were successful in the regional Feile with Luke O’Tooles. They won the final 4-4 to 1-3 against St. Laurence’s from Kildare.

Congratulations also to the camogie team on their league success and to Jack Byrne on his great win in Bishopscourt in Formula Vee racing. Also, we had 3 players on the Colaiste Bhride team who won the senior schools county final a couple of weeks ago in Aughrim. Congratulations to Adam Healy, Evan Doyle and Sean Weld. Our intermediate team had their game postponed until last night v Shillelagh-Coolboy while, Coolkenno had to give a walkover to our junior team last Thursday evening.

This weeks fixtures are: Under 15 away to St. Pat’s tonight (Wednesday) at 6:15. Under 11 away to Dunlavin tonight 7pm. The Junior team are at home to Avoca on Thursday in a repeat of last years county final at 7:30. Next Tuesday sees our under 13’s travel to Rathnew at 7pm. Finally, a big happy milestone birthday to Brian Moran over the weekend. Enjoy the celebrations Brian.

Summer Festival

Annacurra Summer Festival and field day are looking for items for the stalls for the field day.

Plants/ cakes/ bric-a-brac/ White elephant/Bottles/books. Raffle Tickets on sale soon.

All donations gratefully accepted . Field date June 19.

Annacurra National School 

Please support the children of Annacurra National School by donating items for our clothing collection fundraiser on 8th, 9th and 10th of June.  

Accepted items for donating are: wearable items of clothing, paired shoes, handbags, belts, towels, curtains and blankets. (No duvets or No pillows). 

Maybe you might look at sorting out your wardrobe / hotpress to see if you have any items you can donate?. Every bag of items you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Donated bagged items can be dropped off at the school hall doors between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th or Friday 10th of June.
