Death
The death took place of Peter O’Connor, Bawnogues, Rathmoon, Baltinglass. Sadly missed by his wife Yvonne, daughters Teresa, Sharon, Margaret and her partner colm, son Peter and his wife Bridie, grandchildren and great- granddaughter, relatives and friends.
Funeral took place in Dunlavin.

Death
Lawlor, Thomas (Tommy). Late of The Bay Horse, Bishop Auckland, UK (formerly of Donard, Co. Wicklow and Mountain, View Park, Churchtown, Dublin 14) – May 8th 2022. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness bravely borne. Much beloved husband of Zara and adored father of Mossy and Aisling. Sadly missed by his loving sisters Mary and Anne, brothers-in-law Fergal and Gerry, nephews Dylan, Adam and Oisin, mother-in-law, father-in-law, extended family, and large circle of friends. May Thomas rest in peace.
Falcon Workshop.
Part-time female staff member required to help on falcon project.
To assist in hand feeding young falcon chicks & care to raise them.
Two hours in the morning & two hours in the afternoon.
Training is provided.

Death
The death took place last week of Clare Lynch, Intack, Donard, Co Wicklow, formerly of Drimnagh and Glentown, Clare was pre-deceased by her siblings Paddy, Rose, Monica, George, Hugo and Eugene.
Beloved wife of Richard and loving mother of Fionnghuala, Fergal and Ciaradh. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Aishling, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Clare’s funeral took place in Donard. May she rest in peace.
Set Dance Ceili
The Maureen Dennis memorial set dance ceili will take place in the Imaal Hall on Friday June 17th at 9.30. Music with Syl and Liz. All proceeds to St. Brigid’s Hospice , The Curragh. All support welcome.
Concert
Dunlavin Festival of Arts will present Mary Coughlan in concert on Sunday June 19th in St. Nicholas Church Of Ireland at 8pm. Tickets will be on sale now on Eventbrite at €25.
Sympathy is extended to Fidelma Tighe, Stephen Street, Dunlavin on the death of her sister Ann Cox. Ann’s funeral took place in Newbridge. May she rest in peace.

Death
The death took place of Damien Dowling following a long illness. Damien formerly Milltown , Dunlavin, is mourned by his wife Mary and son Dorian, mother Elizabeth, brother Eamonn, sisters Anna, Lisa and Patricia, mother and father Lily and Paddy O’ Hara and many relatives and friends. Damien’s funeral took place in Mount Jerome , Harold’s Cross. May he rest in peace.

Death
The death took place of Willie Fleming, Five Cross Road, Grangecon, Co Wicklow, who died on May 1st 2022, peacefully, at his residence. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Veronica, daughters Sandra, Theresa, Clare, Colette, Maria, Karen, Jacqueline and Carmel, sons Peter, Liam, Derek, James and Barry, mother Nell, brother Paddy, sisters Eileen and Caroline, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Willie’s funeral took place to Crookstown. May he rest in peace.

Call for a number of Part-time Retainer Fire Fighters by Wicklow County Council. Areas include Arklow, Baltinglass, Blessington, Bray, Dunlavin, Rathdrum and Tinahely.

Dunlavin Library’s opening hours are now as follows: Tuesday 5-8 , Wednesday and Friday 10-1 and 2-5 and Saturday 11-1 pm.
Your Library card gives you free access to books and audio materials as well as access to online materials and resources including magazines, courses and Find My Past which will allow you to discover your family history. Printing and photocopying service also available. Joining is free and no late fees are chargeable on overdue items. Great selection of new films in stock for young and old.

Mobile Recycling has Recommenced – Dunlavin 2nd Saturday outside Church of Ireland 10-12. Blessington 1st Saturday, outside Secondary School (Naas Road) 10-12. Hollywood 3rd Saturday outside the National school 10-12.
Panic Buttons – Anyone who is over the age of 65 may apply for a Panic Button. If you are interested, or know of someone who may require one and is living in the Dunlavin area, the necessary application form can be accessed by calling 086-1020303.
Used Postage Stamps – Please keep your used postage stamps for St. Patrick’s Missions, Kiltegan who use them to fundraise. Stamps can be dropped into the Parish office any time. Thank you to all who have donated in the past.

ALONE – manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who may have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Family Carers Ireland
Family Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 o 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid. If you have 2 free days a month (Monday – Friday) and an active email address we would love to hear from you.
