National Biodiversity Week|13 to 22 May 2022
Birdwatch Ireland Dusk Chorus Bird Walk
National Biodiversity Week will be held from 13 to 22 May 2022.
Birdwatch Ireland Wicklow Branch will lead a Dusk Chorus Bird Walk on Friday, 13 May 2022.
Walk will be held at the East Coast Nature Reserve (ECNR).
Please meet at the Sea Road, Kilcoole, entrance to the ECNR at 8 pm.
May is the height of the bird-breeding season.
Birds are most active in pairing up and defending territories.
Participants on the walk will be listening to and observing birds on the reserve.
Soup and Sandwiches Luncheon
Everyone is most welcome to the very popular Soup and Sandwich luncheons.
St. Patrick’s Church, Church Road, Greystones.

WicklowAid4 Ukraine has been set up by local support groups.
These groups are travelling to Poland and Ukraine to help Ukrainian families.
These families need support with relocating and logistics.

A support hub is now established in Hillside Church.
As new families arrive, the needs differ each week.
Appeals may be made at short notice.
We cannot underestimate the value of friendship.
The hub is open at Hillside Church, Hillside Road.
Every Tuesday and Friday, 10 am to 12 pm.
You are most welcome to come along and have a cup of coffee with old and new friends.

Greystones Folk Group Craft Bags for Ukrainian Children
You could help Ukrainian Children by contributing a Craft Bag.
It is easy and fun to do. Simply collect craft items and place in a Zip Lock Bag.
Lock the bag and put a sticker on the bag indicating the age and gender of the child.
Greystones Folk Group will do its best to make sure your Craft Bag gets to the child.
Craft items include colouring books, markers, colouring pencils, Pritt stick, pencils.
Rubbers, sharpener, bubbles, small toy, plus other suggestions of your own.
Craft Bags can be left with Greystones Folk Group.
They choir sings each Sunday at the 11.30 am Mass, Holy Rosary Church.
Craft bags may also be left in Holy Rosary Church.
