A multi-agency checkpoint was carried out this week in Co Wicklow which resulted in a number of detections for drug driving and the seizure of vehicles.
The checkpoint was carried out on Wednesday, May 18 on the Farrenkelly Road in the Bray District.
Gardaí were accompanied by the Road Safety Authority (RSA), Customs, Revenue and the Department of Social Protection.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said there was three detections for drug driving, both cannabis and cocaine while several vehicles were detained for false/none/out of date documents.
They added that several social welfare investigations will be carried out as a result of unanswered queries at the checkpoint.
