Wicklow Tennis Club officially launched their Time Capsule on Saturday May 14th 2022.
To mark the occasion, the Club, guided and assisted by Catherine Merrigan Doherty were very busy gathering photos and artefacts to insert in the Time Capsule, with instruction for it to be opened in 41 years time on the occasion of the tennis club’s 150th anniversary -14th May 2063.
This was a lovely and special occasion for all in attendance with Trustee and Past President Joe Kavanagh marking the occasion with an insight to the history of the club in addition to a very special guest appearance of “Reginald Ponsonby-Smyth” from 1913 performed by Michael Keegan.
Many thanks to all the members and volunteers at the launch in addition to Club President Jeff Byrne for sponsoring this historic event for the Club.
