Carnew notes week June 27th


Carnew GAA lotto was not won  numbers were 11 , 17,31 32, lucky dips were Joseph Dempsey and Aisling Mallow., the next draw is 4th July and the jackpot is €11,000.

Carnew Agricultural show society are holding their annual show on Saturday 16th July in Umrigar, schedule available now by emailing or Carnew Agri Show on Facebook for full schedule details, enquires to 0871429325 after 7pm.


The lucky winner of our split the pot draw for Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew who won €417 was Sabrina Zambrucka, Congratulations.

The winner of our goodie hamper was Domhall Farrell. There were lots of other spot prizes given out on the day. Congratulations to all our winners. Many thanks for your continued support.

Our next split the pot draw takes place early September.  


Social dance in Ashamore hall Friday July 1st. Doors open @9pm. Dancing starts @9.30. Music by Andy Feery. Admission €10. Refreshment served.

The Tinahely Craft market is now open on Friday as well as Saturdays… opening hours are 10-4 pm. There is a great selection of beautifully crafted pieces which make ideal gifts ….please come along and support your local artisans…

Shillelagh Community Games athletics for 5 to 15 year olds is now taking on the Shillelagh Fairgreen every Tue and Thur from 6:30-7:30pm. New members and volunteers are very welcome to join us.
