Cllr calls for signage on Wicklow to Rathnew Road

Cllr Paul O’Brien has called on the Road Authorities to install new signage on the Wicklow to Rathnew Road detailing the new road layout.

It is understood that the lanes have changed with the new houses coming on stream at Tinakilly.

What use to be the lane for driving North is now being used as the right turn into the new estate, which is causing serious concern.

Cllr O’Brien remarked, “I have been inundated with calls & emails about the new road markings and layout.

Unfortunately there was no consultation or foresight and motorists are unaware of the changes, which could lead to a serious accident.

I want to see new signage asap, even if its only temporary until everyone gets use to the new road layout”.

It is understood that the council are working to rectify the matter, but in the meantime Cllr O’Brien is urging motorist to be careful & drive with caution.
