Council warn of road closures in Wicklow Town to facilitate Arklow Waste Water Plant works

Wicklow County Council has advised a number of road closures will be in place in July to facilitate works on the new Arklow Waster Water Treatment Plant.

Roads closed include Port Road from Drumkay to Bridge Street, Bridge Street to Fitzwilliam Square, South Quay Wicklow Town, Junction on R751 Marlton Road west of Ballinteskin Farm to the Beehive and the M11 Junction 18 North.

The closures will take place on Sunday, 3 July from 10.00am to 3.00pm inclusive.

The council said local access will be maintained throughout the closure period on all affected routes.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed road closure must lodge their objection in writing to Transportation and Roads, Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Co. Wicklow or via email at roadtrans@wicklowcoco.ie not later than 12.00 noon on Wednesday the 15th June, 2022.
