Cllr. Pat Kennedy announces over €280,000 in Community Activities Funding for Wicklow
Community groups across the county received news this morning that they had been awarded funding under the new Community Activities Fund. This funding is being used to support community groups impacted by COVID-19 and will support facilities such as community centres, men’s and women’s sheds, parish halls, and youth centres.
Chair of the Local Community Development Committee, Cllr. Pat Kennedy, said “I am delighted to announce that over 100 community groups across County Wicklow are to share in €282,686 of funding received by Wicklow County Council from Government under a special Community Activities Funding scheme. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit a lot of community groups quite hard and this funding will help to alleviate that. Well done to all the applicants.”
