Native Woodland Trust hosting tree planting events in Wicklow

The Native Woodland Trust has announced it will be hosting tree planting events in county Wicklow next month.

Two native tree planting events will take place on their site at Humphreystown Co. Wicklow.

The planting days will be held Thursday the 7th and Friday 8th July 2022, with all volunteers required to be aged 16 and over to particpate.

Those who wish to apply should email as spaces are limited.

The Native Woodland Trust is dedicated to the preservation of Ireland’s remaining ancient woodlands. They are also committed to the restoration of Ireland’s original climax ecosystem, through the re-creation of woodlands, using only native seed.

Their aims and principles were created of careful consideration to scientific best practise and the complex needs of landscape management in Ireland.
