Barranisky Graveyard
The Blessing of the graves will take place in Barranisky on 31st July at 3 pm.
Historian Pat Power will host a talk on the Arklow Religious riots 1886-1900 in Aras Lorcan Arklow on Wednesday 27th July 2022 at 7.30 pm.
All are welcome to attend Admission is by donation Proceeds in aid of the Archbishop Edward Byrne Memorial Fund
IFA FOOD FROM OUR FARMS
Tinahely Agricultural Show takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday at Fairwood, Tinahely. The IFA Food from our Farms Tent is definitely worth a visit this year.
There will be a great variety of gourmet foods and many Exhibitors will be doing tastings and giving advice on preparation. These vary from hot foods including tasty burgers, beef, lamb and chicken to artisan cheeses, sauces, sweet treats and much more.
The beekeeper with his hive of bees will be there and this always attracts large crowds all day. In addition there is a Farm Safety Competition with many valuable prizes for the winners which are generously sponsored each year by M.A.Healy & Sons Ltd. With so much on offer the IFA Tent is well worth a visit on the day.
Tinahely Tidy Towns are holding a Coffee Morning Fundraiser in the Courthouse Arts Centre on Saturday 30th July from 10am to 1pm. Please come along and support it. Everyone is welcome.
Engagement Ring Found
An engagement ring was found on Sunday 26th of June in St Mary’s and St Patrick’s Church Avoca. The ring can be returned once a detailed description has been given. Please contact Evelyn Stewart the Church Sacristan on 0402 35851 so that the ring can be reunited with its owner.
