Death
The death took place of Anna Mary Reilly, 10 Church Terrace, Dunlavin. Anna will be sadly missed by her husband John, daughters Martina, Geraldine and Anne Marie, sons in law Nigel and John, nieces Adrienne and Jude, grandchildren Amy, Jessica, Aaron, Hannah, Shauna, John, Isabella, Eilidh, Faye, Andrew, Shane, Katelyn and extended family and friends. Anna’s funeral took place in Dunlavin.
May Anna Rest In Peace.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the family of Bridie O’Neill nee Murphy, Whitestown, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow who died on 8th July 2022.
Bridie was beloved wife of the late Pat (Parnell). Sadly missed by her loving family, sons Liam and PJ., daughters Jacinta and Anne, son-in-law Tony, daughter-in-law Bridget, brother John, sister Lil, sister-in-law Dympna, grandchildren Mark, Darren, Jason, Tony and Kate, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends. Bridie’s funeral took place in Emo, Co. Laois. May she rest in peace.
Music for Medicine
A midsummer concert will take place in St Brigid’s Cathedral in Kildare Town on Saturday July 23rd at 7.30pm. Artists appearing are the Gormanstown Choir with guests DARA Quartet, Elana Ryan (Viola Soloist) Ella Fallon (Organist) Mary Nolan (Harpist), Harry Carpendale( Harpist) Tickets available on Eventbrite or at the door. Proceeds towards Medical Mission for Syria.
Graveyard Mass
Dunlavin’s Graveyard Mass – will take place on Sunday, August 14th at 7pm. Please pass this date on to family and friends. Thank you.
Lourdes Pilgrimage
Lourdes Parish Pilgrimage – A 5 day pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 26th – 30th September 2022. The price is €635 sharing, with a single room supplement of €144. If you are interested in coming along, please contact Fr. Douglas, drop into the Parish centre or call us on 045-401871.
Culture Bus
The culture Bus will leave Dunlavin on Saturday July 16th at 10am to visit The National Botanic Gardens , Kilmacurragh and Joly’s Garden Centre and Café Glenealy. Return to Dunlavin at 6pm. Contact 0879693960 to book a seat on the bus. Admission to both venues is free.
Clothes Collection
Donard /Glen Camogie – are doing a clothes collection for recycling. All suitable items can be dropped into the clubhouse in St. Kevin’s at training times. A list of suitable items is available on the Church notice board. This will run until 18th July. 10% of the collected proceeds will be donated to the Laura Lynn Hospice fund.
Golf Classic
Dunlavin Gaa are running a golf classic Saturday 13th August in Baltinglass Golf club.
All funds raised will go towards getting our walking track lights up and running before the winter.

Dunlavin Library’s opening hours are now as follows: Tuesday 5-8 , Wednesday and Friday 10-1 and 2-5 and Saturday 11-1 pm.
Your Library card gives you free access to books and audio materials as well as access to online materials and resources including magazines, courses and Find My Past which will allow you to discover your family history. Printing and photocopying service also available. Joining is free and no late fees are chargeable on overdue items. Great selection of new films in stock for young and old.

Mobile Recycling has Recommenced – Dunlavin 2nd Saturday outside Church of Ireland 10-12. Blessington 1st Saturday, outside Secondary School (Naas Road) 10-12. Hollywood 3rd Saturday outside the National school 10-12.
Panic Buttons – Anyone who is over the age of 65 may apply for a Panic Button. If you are interested, or know of someone who may require one and is living in the Dunlavin area, the necessary application form can be accessed by calling 086-1020303.
Used Postage Stamps – Please keep your used postage stamps for St. Patrick’s Missions, Kiltegan who use them to fundraise. Stamps can be dropped into the Parish office any time. Thank you to all who have donated in the past.
