Delgany Thursday Group Outing to The Casino,  Marino,  Dublin

Thursday,  4 August 2022.  Coach leaves Christ Church Delgany,  1:30 pm.

Cost of trip is €30 per person,  to include coach,  guided tour of Casino.

And tea/coffee scone in Clontarf Golf and Bowling Club.

Due to increased cost of coach transport,  trip cannot proceed without 20 participants.

Movement for Good 2022 Grants

The Movement for Good Awards is an annual platform for giving.

It was set up by all the businesses that make up the Benefact Group.

The awards are their opportunity to make a tangible difference.

A tangible difference to the lives of the people and the communities they serve.

The awards support charities, not-for-profit organisations, and community interest projects.

Charities are invited to apply for grants under a wide variety of activites.

These include:

  • Education and skills.
  • Rural or community development.
  • Heritage.
  • Arts or Culture.
  • Climate or Environment.
  • Human Rights or Equality.

Greystones Municipal District People of the Year Awards 2022

Nominations are now being accepted for this year’s awards.

Awards are given in a variety of categories.

  • Sportsperson of the Year
  • Civic Award
  • Special Person of the Year
  • Cultural Person of the Year
  • Commercial Award
  • Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Luisne Centre for Spirituality and Well Being Open Day

Visitors can visit the Meditation and Therapy Rooms and meet with Volunteers and Tutors.

A wide range of course,  therapy sessiions,  meditation and other therapies are available.

Complimentary sessions are being offered before the Open Day.

Wicklow County Council is raising awareness of dog fouling.

Dog owners everywhere they know they need to pick up after their dogs.

But dog fouling is still a serious problem.

Waste should always be bagged and removed for binning.

Your dog is your responsibility.

Help Scally to carry on the message.

Hot Spot Music Club|Ajá: Tribute to music of Steely Dan|30 July 2022

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

Ajá recreates the sounds of one of rock’s most legendary and enigmatic bands.

Evening includes Dan classics.

Eight piece ensemble features former members of Pretzel Logic.

It also includes some of Dublin’s finest jazz,  rock and session musicians.

Their live set opens with the entire classic album, Ajá,  hence the name.

Doors open 8 pm.

Hot Spot Music Club|Blues Jam Session|14 August 2022

Come along to listen or at the Blues Jam Session.

Hosted by the Urban Mojo Blues Band.

They will play some tunes and you can play some tunes or join in.

All blues instrumentalists and singers welcome.

Great opportunity to play with other blues musicians.

Or to just come along and watch.

Please arrive early to sign in,  talk to the band and ensure you get a chance to play.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular blues jam session to develop and bring the blues community together.
