Man arrested in connection with fatal assault in Wicklow

A man has been arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal assault of a male in his 30s that occurred at a house in Ballyconnell, Shillelagh, County Wicklow, on Thursday, 10th February, 2022.

The man, aged in his 30s, is currently being detained at Baltinglass Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Investigations are ongoing, said gardaí.
